JV Girls basketball game is cancelled at Monroe with varsity only starting at noon. They lost to Bradford last night 47-26 and are looking for a comeback on Saturday!
Brookville wrestlers went to Lebanon tonight to face some very tough competition. The first dual was against D1 Colerain. The boys fought hard but we came up short 43-27. The second dual of the evening was against D1 Western Brown. It was a decisive defeat final score 53-15. There were many positives to be taken from both duals. Almost every match was fought for 3 periods. I was very proud of their effort and determination. We also learned many lessons that we can emphasize in the practice room. In wrestling you learn a lot more from the contested matches than you do from the mismatches. That’s why we don’t shy away from Division 1 opponents. You don’t get better from winning with a soft schedule. We want to be the best, so we need to figure out how to beat the best. It’s time to get back to work. Wrestler of the week is 195lb. Junior Luke Williams. We are now 8-5 in Duals this year, and we’ve won 2 of 3 tournaments we’ve been in. Please come out Wednesday January 23 for our final home action of the season. We’ll face off against our neighbors from Northmont. The boys really fed off our home crowd last week and we’d love to have you back. Go Big Blue!
Students, be sure you are checking Miss Duckro's guidance webpage frequently for information about college visits, college fairs, and scholarships.
